Q: Who is eligible for Medicare?
A: We usually think of Medicare as "government health insurance for the elderly." But it is also for people who have disabilities. Those who have received at least 24 months of disability payments from the Social Security Administration (SSA) or the Railroad Retirement Board or who have turned 65 are eligible for Medicare.
Q. What is the difference between the different types of Medicare that I hear about?
A: Medicare Part A and B cover doctors' visits, hospitalization and medicine. Medicare Part C is privatized insurance that fills in gaps of coverage in parts A and B. Medicare Part D is a prescription drug plan.
Q: Do all doctors and hospitals accept Medicare?
A: No. This is an important question to ask before accessing health care.
Q: Does Medicare pay for long-term care?
A: No.
Q: I have my own question, related to a unique personal matter. Where can I get answers?
A: Contact us to schedule a free initial consultation.
