Sarah Dean Cora
Sarah Dean Cora began practicing law in November of 2005 at Shifrin Newman Smith Inc. She is a magna cum laude graduate of Canisius College in Buffalo, New York with a B.A. in Biochemistry. She was a Howard Hughes Medical Institute Student Research Fellow and worked as a quality control analyst in the biochemical manufacturing industry. She studied medicine before finding her true calling with law. Sarah graduated cum laude from the University of Akron School of Law where she won the CALI Award in patent prosecution. During her time in law school, she worked as a law clerk at Sternberg, Newman, Shifrin, Inc.
Sarah Dean Cora practices in the area of Social Security Disability and has represented hundreds of claimants in Northeastern Ohio. She also is certified through the Veteran's Administration and represents disabled veterans. Sarah was admitted to practice before the Court of Appeals for Veterans' Claims in Washington, DC. She is a member of the National Organization of Social Security Claimants' Representatives and the National Organization of Veterans' Advocates. Sarah Dean Cora is also a member of the local chapter of the Inn of Court.
Sarah Dean Cora is married to Edgard and a new mother. She is a member of the executive board for the 93 Cents for Flight 93 campaign to raise money for a memorial to honor the heroes of Flight 93 who sacrificed their lives on September 11, 2001. In her free time, she enjoys playing the flute and learning Spanish.
