Debra Shifrin, founding attorney of Shifrin Newman Smith, Inc., will attend the conference of the National Organization of Social Security Claims Representatives (NOSSCR) to be held in Chicago on September 22 through 25. Ms. Shifrin, an experienced Social Security Disability attorney, is the elected Treasurer to NOSSCR's Board of Directors for 2009-2010, as well as a board representative from the Sixth Circuit. She is up for re-election at the Chicago NOSSCR conference.
NOSSCR is an organization of over 3,900 attorneys and advocates dedicated to providing quality representation and advocacy for people seeking Social Security and Supplemental Security Income benefits. NOSSCR offers a chance for Social Security claims representatives to develop skills and learn more about best practices for Social Security claims. Workshops are offered on a variety of topics from general workshops like the ABCs of Social Security Claims to niche practice tips on matters like subsequent applications.
